Hosting an encounter

Modern technology has made it possible to talk to anyone, anywhere, at any time.

Ironically, however, it is often no easier today than it used to be to get people to sit down, look each other in the eye, and talk about who they are, and what they want to do and
accomplish in life.

It is not surprising, therefore, that people today commonly feel not only disconnected from one another, but also from the communities they would like to be part of in more than name only.

Hosting a marae encounter is a proven way of encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to listen and learn from one another.

Anyone who has been to such an encounter also knows firsthand that marae gatherings can be a lot of fun.
